Born 28 April 1970 in Taoyuan, Taiwan, Republic of China.
 
Went to National Taiwan University in 1988 to get a degree in Finance and 1993 to the University of London to get one in Organzational Behaviour.   
 
1991 met Holger Jacobsen, her instructor at National Taiwan University.  Started to work at Mr. H.P. Jacobsen's Language Classes. 
 
1992 got married.  And since then has been together with him almost 24 hours/day and 7 days/week. 

1994/1995 sailed across the Pacific Ocean from San Diego (USA) to Nuku'alofa in the Kingdom of Tonga in an Ed Horstmann Tri-Star 38 trimaran. 

1999 got featured by Penthouse (Taiwan) and many other magazines and TV stations.  Nobody could understand why a smart girl with several degrees was interested in that!  (Because of the free pictures, of course...   ;-) Also went to the Iowa Summer Writing Festival.

2000 saw a trip in a VW Microbus all over Europe.

2001 for the first time in Vietnam. Fell in love with the place right away.

2002 Our non-fiction sailing book Destination Paradise  (Click on View --> Encoding --> Chinese Traditional (BIG5)) got published.

2003 went to Koh Samui in Thailand and later to Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Sukhothai in Thailand, as well as Pattaya and Phuket. And more importantly, our daughter Aurora Ulani Jacobsen got born on 12/30/2003. :-)

2005 On Valentines Day our daughter got sick and was subsequently diagnosed with Kawasaki Syndrome. And on June 27th, we bought DHARMA BUM III, a Privilege 39 catamaran in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
